Visual puns are two images with similar form but different meaning. Typographic puns are a play on similarities or substitutions with different characters with a similar form.
Complete the three following exercises:
1. Visual Pun using two different images with different meaning yet share a similar form. Create three solutions.
2. Typographic Pun using any word or words. Substitute similar letterforms, numbers, puncutation by turning letterforms backwards, changing scale or cutting forms. Create three solutions.
3. Create a title page to a magazine article that incorporates a typographic pun and an appropriate photographic image. Content is open. Page size is 7.5 wide x 9.75 high.
4. PDF – Create a high-resolution print version and a low-resolution screen version PDF of the project.
