PROJECT 3 – Illustrated initial caps:
Pick three short passages of type (song lyrics, poems, quotes, etc.) and design an 8.5″ x 11″ page for each one that features a prominent, illustrated initial cap along with the text. It should epitomize the meaning of the text. These can be hand-lettered, or you can alter and embellish existing fonts. You can use color.
