IN-CLASS PROJECT 1 – Font Design:
You will design an original font that contains all the letters of the alphabet, upper and lower case, plus the numbers 0-9. You will need to identify the intended use of the font (body copy, headlines, decorative, etc.) before finalizing it. It will be printed in black & white on a letter-size sheet.
- Step 1: Determine purpose of font (body copy, display, decorative, etc.)
- Step 2: Design upper and lowercase h, o, p & x
- Step 3: Design numbers
- Step 4: Design remaining characters
- Step 5: Revise & refine until perfect
