Syllabus Projects Class Schedule
Digital illustration: Website
A web site is an essential marketing tool for an illustrator, as well as for a project like the one you’re creating this semester. Learning to design, build and maintain a web site is a complex undertaking beyond the scope of this course. However, there are many online resources available that allow you to quickly and easily create simple, template-based sites. You won’t get all the capabilities available in a custom-made web site, but most of the template sites offer enough customizing options for you to create a personalized and somewhat unique web presence.
Project Specs
- Find an appropriate online resource to build your site with. There is a list of links to some sites below. Some sites are free, others have fees depending on the options you choose. This list is not comprehensive, feel free to use sites not on the list.
- All of your artwork must be RGB, and saved as a jpg or png file format, and sized to fit within your template’s display area (generally less than 800px wide by 600px deep).
- Design/customize your template to include all of your projects from this semester.
- Include your contact information on the site.
- Email the teacher the URL for your site.
